Long Island Breeders

If you're living in Long Island and looking for a new puppy and considering going to any number of Long Island breeders to look at their litters, it's likely that you've chosen to do so based on the perceived quality of dogs purchased from breeders. Though there are good breeders and poor breeders in existence today, the perceived quality of dogs purchased from breeders is, in general, better than the quality of dogs purchased from, say, the mall pet store. Shake a Paw may be a pet store - technically. But at Shake a Paw, the quality of the dogs that come into our store is just as high as that of any Long Island dog breeders, and that quality extends across a selection of dozens and dozens of breeds, as opposed to one litter.

At Shake a Paw, each one of our puppies is screened by an experienced veterinarian before making the trip to one of our stores. After their arrival they are examined once more by one of our veterinarians, vaccinated, wormed up to date, and each puppy's shot records are acquired. Each puppy is micro-chipped, and upon purchase, activation of that microchip is available, as well as a lifetime health warranty, unique to Shake a Paw puppies. Typical pet stores do not offer all of the health services that Shake a Paw offers - nor do Long Island breeders.

In addition to health guarantees, the puppies at Shake a Paw span numerous breeds. Our puppies are purebreds, designer breeds, and mixed, and for breeds that are recognized, our puppies are registered with one of the several canine registries (AKS, UKC, APR, ACA, etc.) in existence today.
